Where to start?

Damn, what a mess.

Everything's moved so fast recently, on what will inevitably be a world-historical level. So, a bit of quick take catch-ups, because it really is time for action of some sort to secure a non-dystopian future for the future of humanity. 

So a few things that have been weighing on my mind:

- How we communicate. This goes in to what I'd written before about language, but more macro and less micro. What the fuck are you blathering about?, I hear you rightly ask; it's thinking about not just the words we use, but what we take into account and from who. Or whom. Whomesses'. Most recently easily seen in Hasan Piker being targeted by Democrats by them twisting edited clips, to then use that to disparage individuals he'd joined on the campaign trail or supported in general. That obviously has many glaring issues, but what I noticed and have heard outlets like Breaking Points discuss is - how is this even accepted by anyone as a credible attachment? There's no real foundation to make Piker's words hold weight in this context, regardless of content. It's having me take a look at other times where this happens, because I'd been seeing it a lot lately. Taking something from the zeitgeist that can polarize or be strategically used to create a tenuous attachment to who they really want to hurt. I wanted to say it's like a straw man fallacy (close enough), but I learned after googling it that it's a real fallacy - nutpicking. Grabbing a small representation and claiming it is a representation of the majority (or all). It's just funny in this case that the narrative had to be spun simply to create the nut to pick. Listening to the nuanced take from Piker made perfect sense if you're able to hold a thought and listen while not trying to formulate a response before the person's even finished talking. 

- Hormuz/Iran/Middle East/Fuel. Yikes. Iran's not had anything but the moral high ground through the whole thing. Hard to know what to expect outside of a continual slide of of the strategic reserves (already below the ideal floor for integrity). Ultimately, I think it's about a 60% chance of Iran becoming a central power in the ME. The show our military's put on (from a strategy perspective) and the asymmetric warfare style proving effective against the reason our social safety net is a thong. We are a net-exporter in oil, but it's not uncle Sam pumping that and the companies will sell to whoever can pay as the prices go up. Fuel prices drive basically all prices, so, yaaaay. 

- Flock and data centers. Burn them? Well, there can be a place for data centers if we have a consensus and it's public infrastructure since it's going to inevitably have all of our data run through. I'm certainly not opposed to it rolled out in a way that makes sense. 

Damn, it's like everything's moving really fast with some things moving really slow. Very odd time to be paying attention to things, but I'd feel shitty if I wasn't because I'd be confused as to why most things were happening and wouldn't know who to appropriately be mad at!
