We’ve screwed ourselves over with the tolerance-of-intolerance paradox, and too many people still don’t get it. I’d be lying if I said I knew how to fix this. I have long-term solutions in mind—they’re pretty straightforward in theory—but it's getting the masses moving that is another beast entirely.

A quick update – I got the gumption to self-host, so I’m in the process of getting everything moved. I guess moved isn’t the right word, because it is moved now. I need to unpack. The second worst part of moving. I need to make a few changes yet, but will be settled in shortly. I’m hoping to have a local project hosted here soon, too! More to come on that.

Remember the color of Mexico being that orange-yellow haze? I think it was Breaking Bad when that really hit a height of ridiculous. But I was thinking about the US perception of Mexico and how that’s really come from the “top” down. We share one of the busiest borders in the world, trade billions of dollars every year, and collaborate on things that actually make life better for both countries. But instead of talking about that, politicians keep selling this TV version of reality, all to score points with voters who’ve never even thought about why so many people cross the border in the first place. Let’s flip this script.…
